Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a proactive and experienced HGV Class 1 Night Trunker for our esteemed client in Sheffield. This is a temporary position that offers an excellent opportunity to work in the dynamic driving industry.

[Responsibilities]:
As an HGV Class 1 Night Trunker, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Efficiently transporting goods/loads between different locations throughout the night.
2. Carrying out pre-shift vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
3. Adhering to all relevant traffic laws and regulations, ensuring a high standard of driving.
4. Loading and unloading goods, occasionally with the assistance of loading equipment (if necessary).
5. Accurately completing all required paperwork, such as delivery notes and drivers' logs.
6. Communicating effectively with the transport team, ensuring all necessary information is relayed promptly.
7. Conducting basic vehicle maintenance and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the truck.
8. Representing the company professionally, as you will be the face of their brand.
9. Ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines at all times.
10. Adapting to any additional tasks as required by the transport team or job site supervisor.

[Qualifications]:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) license.
2. Have a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
3. Demonstrated experience in HGV Class 1 driving, with a good track record.
4. Excellent knowledge of UK road regulations.
5. Ability to work independently and responsibly, while adhering to safety protocols.
6. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the transport team and clients.
7. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
8. Physical fitness to carry out the necessary loading and unloading duties.
9. Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime when required.
10. A positive, reliable, and committed attitude towards work.

The pay rate for this role ranges from £800 to £1000 per week, depending on experience and performance.
