Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Derby, UK

Hours: You will be required to work Monday to Friday with start times typically at 05:00 with the possibility of 11:00 finishes. However you will still be paid for 8 hours. 

Pay Rate: £12 - £17 per hour

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Temporary HGV Class 2 Driver to join our esteemed client in Derby. If you are an experienced driver with a valid HGV Class 2 license and are looking for an exciting opportunity in the driving industry, read on!

Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to various locations in and around Derby.
2. Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo 
3. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to all traffic regulations and laws.
4. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform routine maintenance.
5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or damages.
6. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction through professional and courteous interactions.

Key Qualifications:
1. Valid UK driving license with Category C entitlement (HGV Class 2).
2. Driver CPC qualification.
3. Knowledge of current UK traffic regulations and laws.
4. Proven experience as a HGV Class 2 driver, ideally in a similar role within the driving industry.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues in a professional manner.
6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan routes efficiently.
7. Ability to follow schedules and meet strict deadlines.
8. Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
9. Strong attention to detail and commitment to adhering to health and safety guidelines.
10. Positive attitude and willingness to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Rate: £12 - £17 per hour, based on experience and shift patterns.
