Our client based in Bury St Edmunds is looking for an experienced transport supervisor for a distribution. This is a temporary role that may become permanent for the right candidate.

You will be reporting to the transport manager and responsible for supervising the transport team. This is a hands on role in a very busy environment, where you will be ensuring all KPI measures and key tasks are continually met.

Duties include:
• Driver expenses - send driver expenses to Operations Manager with meal allowances deducted
• Payroll summary sheet - send payroll summary sheet to Operations Manager & Payroll
• Infringements - print off all and file in infringements file on front desk updating outstanding list for briefing
• MOT / Service Units - Check MOT and service trucks are available
• Managing Drivers - Check and investigate excessive down time
• Pay queries spread sheet - Email spread sheet to payroll for processing
• General Admin - Admin tasks (Defects, Return to Work Sickness, etc.)
• Filing - all paperwork is filed in correct folder at end of shift
• Working Time Directive - Monitor ALL drivers hours to ensure compliance
• Drivers CPC - All drivers up to date or booked
• Agency Drivers - Booking & cancelling them, ESL Time sheets complete, Agency Time sheets complete and sent off
• Accidents/Incidents - carry out investigations within 24 hours, to be handed to OM as soon as investigation has been completed, scan investigation pack on to B Drive
• Drivers Holidays form - completing holiday form, updating Manning levels
• Complaints - Looking into and dealing with any complaints regarding your drivers

Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 1 years transport experience
• Teamwork
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good level of I.T
• Good analytical skills

• £23,000 - £25,000 depending on experience
