Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport goods in a 7.5 tonne vehicle, adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Plan routes and navigate efficiently to ensure timely deliveries, taking into account traffic conditions and any specific customer requirements.
- Conduct pre-departure checks on vehicles, including inspections of tires, brakes, lights, and other essential components.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and driver logs, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that goods are delivered to the correct location and in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with the office team, keeping them informed of any delays, issues, or incidents that may impact deliveries.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid UK driving license with Category C1 entitlement and full CPC qualification.
- Proven experience as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, with a clean and verifiable driving record.
- Good knowledge of Leicester and the surrounding areas to plan routes efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring that the correct goods are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with customers and the office team.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
- Physically fit with the ability to load and unload goods, adhering to manual handling guidelines.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional weekend and evening shifts.
