Job Title: Class 2 Plant Hire Delivery Driver

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Class 2 Plant Hire Delivery Driver to join our client in Sheffield. This is a permanent position within the driving industry, offering competitive pay rates and a great opportunity for career growth.

Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 vehicle for the delivery and collection of plant hire equipment across Sheffield and surrounding areas.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects promptly.
- Load and unload equipment in a secure and professional manner, ensuring the safety of both yourself and others.
- Provide excellent customer service, representing the company in a friendly and professional manner whilst on customer premises.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed correctly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and the office team, providing updates on delivery status and resolving any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving license is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Class 2 vehicles in a similar role.
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is required.
- Digital tachograph card with a good understanding of tachograph legislation.
- Previous experience within the plant hire industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Customer-focused approach with outstanding communication skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime when required.
