Title: Forklift Driver (Counterbalance) - Leicester

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Counterbalance Forklift Driver for our esteemed client in Leicester. This is a position within the Industrial industry, offering a competitive pay rate ranging from £12.00 to £13.00 per hour depending on shift times

Responsibilities:
1. Operating a counterbalance forklift efficiently and safely to transport goods and materials within the warehouse or production facility.
2. Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate placement and safe stacking of items.
3. Verifying the quality and quantity of goods received by cross-checking them against relevant documentation.
4. Conducting regular inspections and checks on forklift equipment to ensure optimum performance and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
5. Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, including reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel.
6. Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
7. Collaborating effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely fulfilment of orders.
8. Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and stock organization.

Qualifications:
1. Valid counterbalance forklift license, with a proven track record of safe and efficient forklift operation.
2. Previous experience working in a warehouse or industrial environment, preferably within a fast-paced setting.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when verifying goods against documentation and maintaining inventory records.
4. Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina, as this role may involve heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or operating a forklift.
5. Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
6. A proactive and responsible approach to work, demonstrating a commitment to health and safety guidelines.
7. Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently.
