HGV Class 1 Driver

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client's team in Birmingham on a temporary basis. If you possess the necessary qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to all relevant traffic laws and regulations
- Deliver goods and materials to designated locations within specified timeframes
- Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and customers to ensure accurate and timely loading and unloading of goods
- Complete all necessary paperwork and record-keeping related to deliveries, keeping accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents that may occur
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service when interacting with clients and colleagues
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and security at all times

Qualifications:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 license, with relevant CPC and digital tachograph card
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as an HGV Class 1 driver within the driving industry
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and excellent driving skills
- Ability to effectively plan routes and manage time to meet delivery deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork and record-keeping
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns, including weekends and nights when required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
