HGV Class 1 Driver – Royal Mail Trunking Work

Location: Royal Mail National Distribution Centre (NDC), Danes Way, Northampton NN6 7GX
Pay Rate: From £24.00 per hour PAYE
Job Type: Temporary, Ongoing
Shifts: Various shifts available (Days, Nights & Weekends)

We’re looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers within a 1-hour commute of Northampton (NN6 7GX) to join Royal Mail on a temporary ongoing basis. This is clean, organised trunking work with immediate assessments and consistent weekly pay.

Role & Responsibilities:

·        Carry out trunking runs across the UK with 2–3 drops per shift

·        Average shift length of 10 hours

·        Complete all vehicle checks and paperwork accurately

·        Represent Royal Mail with a professional and safety-first attitude

Requirements:

·        Valid Category C+E (HGV Class 1) Driving Licence

·        Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

·        Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience

·        No more than 7 infringements in the past 12 months

·        Over the age of 25 (for insurance purposes)

·        5-year address history and 2-year checkable work history

·        Willing to complete a basic DBS check

·        Gloves and Safety Footwear

·        Class 3 Long-Sleeved Yellow Hi-Viz
