Workchain is a leading UK-based recruitment agency working in collaboration with our esteemed client in Lutterworth. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to work on a temporary basis in the driving industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to all road regulations and company policies.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations promptly and in line with customer requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for any defects or issues that may affect safety or performance.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation, including delivery notes, timesheets, and logs, are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional communication at all times, answering queries, and addressing any concerns that may arise during deliveries.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure efficient loading and unloading of goods, maximizing productivity and minimizing delays.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks, and reporting any faults or damages immediately.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safe handling and transportation of hazardous or fragile goods.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid UK driving license with a Category CE entitlement (HGV Class 1).
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver in the driving industry.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and routes.
- Physically fit, capable of performing loading and unloading tasks as required.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
