Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle during night shifts, ensuring on-time delivery of goods to specified locations.
- Adhere to the driving schedule, ensuring all routes and deliveries are completed within the given timeframe.
- Follow all relevant traffic and safety regulations, ensuring the vehicle is always in perfect working condition.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections prior to departure to identify any potential maintenance issues.
- Handle loading and unloading of goods, ensuring their proper placement and security within the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, noting any discrepancies or incidents occurring during the journey.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers, providing updates and ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Qualifications:
- Valid and up-to-date HGV Class 1 license, including relevant CPC qualifications.
- Proven experience within the driving industry, particularly with night trunking.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and proven ability to adhere to them.
- Able to effectively plan routes and allocate loading and unloading times efficiently.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks associated with the role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
