HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver for our esteemed client in Birmingham. This is a temporary position within the driving industry, offering an attractive pay rate of £21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle during weekends
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner
- Adhere to all relevant road transport legislation and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries and collections
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring goods are handled with care
- Collaborate with colleagues and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate effectively with the transport team and report any issues promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 driving license
- Possess a valid CPC card and digital tachograph
- Previous experience in driving HGVs, preferably in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of road transport legislation and tachograph laws
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to working to high standards
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet tight delivery deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional and friendly demeanor
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
