HGV2 driver 

HGV2 driver required in Burton-On-Trent for one of the world's leading supplier of pharmaceutical items such as vitamins, minerals, health supplements, specialist foods and natural beauty products. As a HGV 2 driver, you will be placed on an immediate temp to perm contract. 

 
The role

• Distribution of pharmaceutical items Nationwide with the use of a HGV2 
• Safely and efficiently operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
• Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
• Load and unload goods using appropriate methods, adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Deliver goods to designated locations promptly and efficiently
• Complete required paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and timesheets
•  Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers to ensure a smooth delivery process
•  Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues promptly
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant legal requirements

Requirements for this role

• C entitlement on driving licence with a minimum of 6 months on it and 6 months HGV driving experience
• Cage experience
• Proven experience as a HGV2 driver
• Experience in store deliveries ideal but no essential
• 25 years old or older
• Valid digital tacho and CPC card
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Safety boots & hi-vis vest
• Flexibility to accommodate a range of early start times between 1am and 4am

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 1am and 4am
• 8 to 12 hour shifts
