HGV Class 2 ADR Driver

Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:00–17:00

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to support a well-established national provider of specialist waste management and environmental services. This position is ideal for a driver who enjoys a hands-on, customer-facing role and takes pride in delivering a safe, reliable, and professional service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for visiting multiple customer sites each day to collect, exchange, and transport a variety of waste streams, including non-hazardous, low-hazard, and hazardous materials. This is a physically active position that involves manual handling and safe loading practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out 9–11 site visits daily, ensuring all collections and exchanges are completed safely and efficiently.

  • Load and unload drums and containers onto and from your vehicle using correct manual handling techniques.

  • Maintain excellent customer service while liaising with clients across various industries.

  • Communicate with the Branch Manager to address site needs or service requirements.

  • Use hand-held tablets and CRM systems to manage daily routes, job records, and documentation.

  • Follow all Health & Safety, ADR, and company compliance procedures.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 07:00 – 17:00

  • Overtime may be available depending on operational requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.

  • Valid ADR licence, with relevant categories (copy of front and back required).

  • Full driver profile, including tachograph/digi card details.

  • Previous experience in an ADR or waste-handling driving role (experience essential; no minimum timeframe required).

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.

  • Ability to work independently and follow strict safety procedures.

DBS & Onboarding

  • A DBS check will be carried out through the client’s system.

  • Basic driver details will be submitted to begin the process.

  • The driver will receive an online link to complete the DBS application (results usually returned within 1–5 days).

  • Once cleared, an online Health & Safety questionnaire must be completed before starting.
