Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver for a temporary position in the driving industry in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for short-term work.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle (HGV) within the driving industry.
2. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
3. Transport goods and materials from various locations in and around Leicester, following specified routes and schedules.
4. Load and unload goods in a professional and timely manner, ensuring they are properly secured during transit.
5. Interact professionally with clients and customers, providing excellent customer service at all times.
6. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, including delivery notes and timesheets.
7. Adhere to all relevant driving laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Valid UK driving license with Category C entitlement (Class 2).
2. Digital Tachograph Card.
3. Driver's CPC qualification.
4. A minimum of 1-year experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
5. Good knowledge of Leicester and its surrounding areas.
6. Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a strong work ethic.
8. Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail are essential qualities for this position.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this position ranges from £13 to £15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
