HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver
We're currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 Tramper Driver to join our esteemed client's team in Stafford, ST20. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver seeking a long-term, permanent role in the driving industry.
Our client is a manufacturer of double-glazed windows and doors, so you'll be delivering these to building sites and other businesses within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Undertake runs, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Engage in tramping duties, including overnight stays.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working condition.
- Load and unload goods, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all necessary documentation.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team, providing updates on delivery progress as required.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid, up-to-date HGV Class 2 license and Driver CPC qualifications.
- A full understanding of UK driving legislation and safety regulations.
- Excellent navigation and geographical knowledge.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work independently.
The pay rate for this position ranges from £14.50 to £15.00 per hour - depending on experience, £25 per night out, £10 additional phone allowance, paid weekly on Wednesdays PAYE. Minimum of 6 months driving experience preferred, induction and driving assessment to be completed on first day.
