Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laser cutting machinery according to safety regulations, technical specifications, and work instructions
- Check quality standards of laser cut materials, ensuring precision and accuracy in line with established specifications
- Set up machines, calibrate equipment, and make necessary adjustments to optimize production output
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet production schedules and achieve departmental objectives
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the longevity and efficient operation of laser equipment
- Troubleshoot machinery faults or malfunctions and make adjustments or request technical support as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following good manufacturing practices (GMP)

Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Laser Operative or similar role in a technical environment
- Sound knowledge of laser cutting machines and associated software (e.g., CAD/CAM systems)
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision, ensuring high-quality output
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot machinery
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating and communicating with colleagues
- Adherence to health and safety regulations and ability to clearly follow standard operating procedures
- Prior experience in the metal fabrication or manufacturing industry is desirable, but not essential

Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour
