Loading Shovel Driver (Temporary) - Sheffield

Workchain is a leading recruitment agency in the UK specializing in temporary staffing solutions. We are currently seeking a Loading Shovel Driver for our esteemed client in the Construction industry based in Sheffield. This is a temporary position, which offers competitive pay rates ranging from £14.00 to £16.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operating loading shovels to efficiently load and transport materials such as aggregates, waste, and other construction materials.
- Conducting pre-start checks on the machine to ensure its safe operation.
- Ensuring that the loading shovel is clean and maintained regularly, reporting any defects or issues to the appropriate parties.
- Following health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
- Collaborating with site supervisors and other team members to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
- Adhering to site rules and regulations, taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
- Maintaining accurate records of materials loaded and transported, ensuring traceability and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid loading shovel operator certification or training.
- At least 1 year of experience operating loading shovels within the construction industry.
- Proven understanding of health and safety regulations, with a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
