Transfer Station Plant Operative – £13.80 per hour
Location: Blackpool
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch)
Job Type: Temporary (overtime may be available)

The Role:
We’re seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transfer Station Plant Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating mobile plant and ensuring the safe, efficient running of site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mobile plant equipment, including routine cleaning and maintenance

• Manage site traffic, including guiding tipping vehicles

• Operate the weighbridge and record vehicle weights/details accurately

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies

• Work in line with site permits, legislation, and company procedures

• Provide excellent customer service when liaising with customers and the public

• Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested within the role

Requirements:

• Operational experience and valid licences for Loading Shovel, 360 Excavator, and Forklift

• Previous experience in waste, recycling, or a similar process environment (advantageous)

• Strong knowledge and commitment to Health & Safety standards

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Basic IT skills desirable

Pay & Benefits:

• £13.80 per hour

• Monday to Friday working hours

• Overtime opportunities may be available
