Yard Operative – Peterborough (PE26 2RA)

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our client based in Peterborough, with an immediate start available.

Job Details:

• Location: PE26 2RA

• Start date: ASAP

• Working hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm (flexibility required as shifts may change to 8:00am – 6:00pm depending on workload)

• Pay rate: £13.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday

Duties:

• Sorting and moving wooden pallets around the yard

• Working alongside FLT drivers who will be unloading deliveries

• Repairing pallets using pneumatic guns (training provided)

• General yard duties as required

Requirements:

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Able to work in dusty and potentially dirty environments

• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling

• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding role

• Reliable with a strong work ethic and good attendance

Additional Information:

• Candidates will be required to attend a short walkaround (15–30 minutes) before starting

• On the first day, you will complete an agency induction and health & safety briefing, including machinery use

• You will be paired with an experienced team member during your initial days
