· Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

Our operation is growing rapidly, and due to continued expansion and investment, we are looking to add a talented Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to our dedicated team. About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance on a variety of plant machinery, ensuring smooth and safe operation of equipment including hammer mills, shredders, balers, an extruder, and melt filtration systems.

This is a hands-on, varied role that requires both mechanical and electrical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform regular preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on a wide range of recycling plant and machinery.

· Carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and disruption to production.

· Fit, assemble, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies.

· Conduct electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs, including root cause analysis to identify recurring issues.

· Work closely with the operations and production teams to maintain equipment efficiency and performance.

· Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

· Adapt to changing priorities and assist with other engineering or site tasks as required.

Requirements

· Recognised Electrical and Mechanical qualifications.

· Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills.

· Positive, proactive attitude and strong teamwork ethic.

· Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

· Adherence to Health and Safety regulations at all times.

· Willingness to undertake additional training and development as required.

Desirable (Not Essential)

· FLT and/or MEWP Scissor Lift licence.

· Experience working with compactors, balers, extruders, and similar machinery.

· Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or recycling environment.

· Knowledge and experience of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

· Demonstrated experience in 3-phase electrical systems and mechanical fault-finding/repairs.

· First Aid qualification.

· Fire Warden training or certification.

· Health & Safety training, such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent day courses.
