Yard Supervisor / Team Leader

Location: Luton
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.5 hours per day
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Supervisor / Team Leader to join a busy yard operation based in Luton. This is a hands-on role combining forklift work with team leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and leading a team of 5 yard operatives
Loading, unloading, and moving stock safely and efficiently
Operating a forklift truck (counterbalance)
Organising yard activities and workflow
Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Supporting day-to-day yard operations to meet deadlines

Requirements:

Valid forklift licence (essential)
Proven forklift and yard experience
Previous team leader or supervisory experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example
