Salary: From £42 per hour, with higher rates available based on experience and skill level
Location: Crewe
Hours: Flexible (full time available)
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health. Your responsibilities will include:
Preventive & Periodontal Care
Carry out professional dental cleanings, including scaling and root planning to remove plaque, calculus, and stains.
Support patients in managing and improving periodontal conditions through tailored treatment plans.
Examinations & Oral Health Screening
Review patient dental and medical histories.
Perform periodontal charting and probing.
Conduct oral health screenings, including early detection of conditions such as oral cancer.
Radiography
Take and develop dental X-rays to support diagnosis and treatment planning for decay, bone loss, and other oral health issues.
Patient Education & Advice
Educate patients on effective brushing, flossing, and interdental cleaning techniques.
Provide guidance on oral health–related nutrition and lifestyle habits.
Deliver personalised advice that encourages long-term dental wellness.
Preventive Treatments
Apply fluoride varnish and dental sealants to help prevent tooth decay.
Support patients in maintaining strong, healthy smiles.
Sterilisation & Infection Control
Maintain strict hygiene protocols and sterility of instruments.
Ensure treatment rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Who We’re Looking For
A qualified Dental Hygienist with current GDC registration.
Someone compassionate, professional, and confident with both NHS protocols and private treatment delivery.
A great communicator who builds positive relationships with patients and the wider dental team.
