A well-established delivery company based in Upper Heyford is seeking Driver’s Mates to join their busy home delivery team. The role involves assisting a Van Driver in delivering furniture, electrical goods, and kitchen appliances directly to customers’ homes.

This is a physically demanding position that requires teamwork, good customer service, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Role Overview:

• Assisting the driver with the delivery of furniture, kitchen appliances, and electrical goods to residential addresses.

• Supporting with loading and unloading the vehicle at the depot and customer locations.

• Helping to install or position items within customers’ homes when required.

• Ensuring all deliveries are handled with care and completed in a professional manner.

• Working as part of a two-person team, maintaining clear communication and cooperation throughout the day.

• Starting from the Upper Heyford depot at 6:00am each day.

• Working 5 days out of 7, including some weekends, with 12+ hour shifts.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a delivery or manual handling role preferred but not essential.

• Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy or bulky items safely.

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work long shifts.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
