Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Temp to Perm Opportunity

We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join a well-established food distribution operation. This role offers consistent, ongoing work through the agency with a clear and structured pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role overview:
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of food products to a range of commercial customers. This is a physically active, customer-facing role requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and time management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Start times of 4:00 - 6:00am, ensuring timely loading and departure

  • Completing 10–12 hour shifts, depending on route and workload

  • Tuesday - Saturday shift pattern

  • Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to food service customers

  • Safe use of tail lifts, pump trucks, and cages

  • Manual handling of goods in line with health & safety guidelines

  • Completing all delivery paperwork and PODs accurately

  • Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and care of the vehicle

  • Providing excellent customer service at all delivery points

  • Complying with all drivers’ hours, WTD, and road transport legislation

Pay & progression:

  • £17.00 per hour while working through the agency

  • Opportunity to move onto a permanent contract paying £42,000+ per annum

  • £2,000 Delivery Bonus

Candidate requirements:

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence

  • Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

  • Previous Class 2 experience preferred

  • Experience in multi-drop or food distribution is advantageous

  • Good geographical knowledge and confident use of road networks

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

  • Strong timekeeping, reliability, and a professional attitude

  • Good communication skills and customer-focused approach
