Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our esteemed client in the driving industry, based in Bedford.

Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle in accordance with all applicable road and traffic regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness and report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate authorities.
- Transport goods and materials from one location to another, ensuring their safe handling and secure loading and unloading.
- Plan and follow the most efficient route, considering factors such as traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and times.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring a high level of service and addressing any queries or concerns.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 2 license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Prior experience as a Class 2 HGV Driver within the driving industry is essential.
- Possess a valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks, traffic regulations, and transport legislation.
- Ability to safely maneuver and operate a variety of HGV vehicles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage deliveries efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with documentation.
