Workchain is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our client based in Nottingham, NG14 on a permanent basis.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Electrical Engineer who has an experience of electrical repairs and servicing within a manufacturing or production environment. This role is being recruited for on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

•         Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations are met at all times

•         Work closely with department managers and contractors to resolve issues efficiently

•         Maintain tools, supplies and accurate service records Working under Health & Safety guidelines

•         To liaise with the Shift Team Leader to ensure the efficient running of the factory and associated processes

•         To understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant / Odour control and effluent treatment plant

•         Monitor all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation

•         Carry out breakdown repairs, as able, to factory equipment in a timely manner

•         Provide assistance to other shift members, as necessary, when requested by the Shift Team Leader or Site Management

•         Site Electrical installations and upgrade work, as designated by the Electrical Team Leader

•         To carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules

•         To be on call for a proportion of the time

Key Experience:

•         Strong fault finding and problem solving skills within a mechanical and electrical capacity

•         Have extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment

•         Have experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns

•         Have proven experience with fault finding

•         Be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems

•         Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices

•         Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives

•         Basic mechanical skills

•         Experience of plant operations

•         Self-motivated and able to work on your own or as part of a team

Qualifications:

•        Candidates will hold a City & Guilds or MVQ / BTEC in Electrical Maintenance / Installation

• Hours of work are a 4 days on, 4 days off, 6.00am to 6.00pm.

• The starting salary is £48,000kpa, with excellent company benefits.
