We are seeking a reliable and skilled Fettler/Linisher to support our metal fabrication department. This role involves preparing fabricated metal components to a high standard prior to powder coating or further assembly.

Applicants must be confident using hand and air tools and will be required to complete a practical skills test as part of the interview process.

Hour & Shift Pattern

You will be required to work Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 7:30am-12:30pm Friday.

Requirements & Responsibilities

Fettling and linishing of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components

Removing weld spatter, sharp edges and surface imperfections

Preparing parts ready for powder coating

Ensuring components meet internal quality standards before moving to the next process

Using hand grinders, air tools, linishers and other finishing equipment safely

Inspecting parts for defects and reporting issues to supervisors

Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and wearing required PPE at all times

Supporting general fabrication duties when required

Follow all company safety procedures and wear the appropriate PPE.

o Previous experience in fettling, linishing or metal finishing

o Confident using grinders, flap wheels and hand tools

o Ability to produce a consistent, good-quality finish

o Strong attention to detail

o Good understanding of workshop safety
