Job Advert: HGV Class 2 Driver (Permanent)

Workchain, a well-established UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking to fill the position of an HGV Class 2 Driver for our esteemed client in Radford. This is a permanent role within the driving industry that offers a competitive pay rate ranging from £14.00 to £15.35 per hour. You will be working on a 4 on 2 off shift pattern starting in between 8am to 10 am depending on the shift. You will be delivering and collecting linen on cages from hotels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle, adhering to all road and traffic regulations
- Deliver goods and ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned deliveries
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods, maintaining proper handling and securing techniques
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements promptly
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and logbooks
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle, ensuring adherence to company standards

Qualifications Required:
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
- Prior experience as an HGV driver, ideally with experience in multi-drop deliveries
- Excellent knowledge of UK road network and awareness of driving regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively
- Flexibility regarding working hours, as some early morning starts may be required
