Workchain is proud to be recruiting for a leading manufacturing business in Sutton in Ashfield who are seeking an experienced and proactive Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of all on-site machinery and equipment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone confident with both mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a range of manufacturing machinery, including extrusion lines, packing machines, and general site equipment.
Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out fault-finding to minimise downtime.
Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations.
Collaborate with managers, production teams, and external contractors to resolve issues efficiently.
Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate service/maintenance records.
Key Experience
Previous hands-on experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or similar environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair machinery efficiently under time pressure.
Qualifications
Ideally City & Guilds or NVQ/BTEC in Electrical Maintenance or Installation (or equivalent).
Shift Pattern
A continental shift pattern offering a great work/life balance:
4 days on – 6:00am to 6:00pm
4 days off
4 nights on – 6:00pm to 6:00am
4 days off
