Production Operative

Working as part of a manufacturing team responsible for the manufacture of liquid products, ensuring that all products are manufactured to specification and that Health & Safety and quality standards are maintained to the highest standards. This is an on-going position located just outside of Derby City Centre starting Tuesday 2nd May with the view to go permanent for the right candidate. 

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Using scales to accurately weigh raw materials for use in finished goods formulations
• Manual recording of supplier batch numbers
• Manual handling of raw materials (adhering to safety requirements)
• Mechanical handling of raw materials (adhering to safety requirements)
• Following prescrived method to mix raw materials to create finished goods
• Use of Internal Manufacturing IT program to prioritise and update progress of work
• Rotate raw materials using FIFO principles
• Accurate completion of batch records
• General housekeeping duties of own work area

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

• FLT Reach Truck qualification preferred but not essential
• Ability to accurately follow written instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small manufacturing team
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to follow safety instructions and work in a safe, compliant manner (chemical handling environment)

Hours of work:

• Monday - Thursday 0830am - 1630pm
• Friday 0830am - 1530pm
